Project Four is long and ongoing. Please check back for project updates.

tHE CEntennial tRAIL

The Centennial trail is the grand tour of Ogden. With a length of about 27 miles, highly varied and mixed terrain, some on-road connectors, and a few hefty climbs, this route will take you on a master loop of the city. To navigate such an endeavor, you simply link 3 main trails/paths; the Weber River Parkway, the Ogden River Parkway, and the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. NOTE: the BST to Weber River Parkway portion through South Ogden/Uinta/South Weber requires some road riding and less well marked connector trails.

BIRDSONG TRAIL

Shh, the first rule of Birdsong Trail is, you don’t talk about Birdsong. This shorter, tucked away, less frequented trail offers either a tamer hiking route, or a challenging wooden feature-ridden way for mountain bikes. There’s a kinda “understanding” between all interested parties that some semi-sanctioned trail building is always happening in this area, so beware of works continually in progress.

BST nORTH

My absolute favorite section of the Bonneville Shoreline trail runs from 12th Street all the way up to North Ogden. This portion of the BST has wide open expanses, more exposure, and generally a bit less busy than the BST south. Some challenging rock gardens still test my skill, strength, and patience. Bonus points for riding the newer Goldwater canyon trail up to a giant American flag flown all summer long to honor fallen hero Mayor Brent Taylor.
